Common Ground welcomes singers without regard to religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Our shared belief in the value of all people and our shared commitment to social justice create a bond among our members.
The chorus is open to anyone who loves to sing and can match pitch ("carry a tune"). Though musical experience and reading ability are certainly helpful, these are not necessities for membership. A formal audition is not required, but a short individual session with the director will be held upon joining to determine vocal quality and range, for placement purposes.
Join us! Send us an email your name, contact information, and briefly describe your previous singing and musical experience and/or training, if any.
If you would like to "check us out" before making a commitment, we welcome interested visitors at our rehearsals for a "trial run." We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm, at the First Congregational Church of Christ: 2201 Woodlawn Ave, Boise.
"…Something special happens when people come together to lift their voices in harmony. Music can reach into those places where words alone cannot … souls are touched; barriers are transcended..."-Rebecca Long
2015 Membership Meeting
Common Grounds annual General Membership meeting was held on August 22, 2015. The chorus got together to discuss our past season and begin planning for the 2015 - 2016 Season. Thank you to Karen and Bruce Kelly for opening up their beautiful home for the afternoon. Of course a meeting would not be the same without some great food and conversation. It was a wonderful afternoon!
Rehearsal Begin September 14, 2015 at First Congretational Church of Christ. Reheasal begins at 7:00P.
